Adult Education Instructor - Mathematics and Science
32 hour Full-time Position located in Anchorage
Salary: $46,592 per year

learners including teaching classes,
providing one-on-one student support, and
student intake and registration.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide high-quality instruction to Adult
learners in one or more of the areas
including reading, writing, mathematics,
social studies, science,
English language
acquisition, and digital literacy.
2. Facilitate study labs to support test
preparation, literacy, and English language
acquisition
3.
Monitor student progress in Distance
Education Programs IXL and Online
Learning and support students as needed.
Conduct
4. Student Intakes and class registration, as
needed, including
a. Complete corresponding paperwork
with students
b. Introduce programs used by
Organization to student
5. Substitute classes as needed
6.
Advise and refer students to appropriate
ALP and community programs and classes
7. Accept additional assignments as directed by supervisor to support program quality, and maintain ongoing coordination with colleagues and volunteers

Health Education Programs Manager
40 hours Full-time Position located in Anchorage
Salary: $60,160 per year with limited benefits
JOB SUMMARY:
The Health Programs Manager leads day-to-day implementation of Alaska Literacy Program's Pre-Apprenticeship Healthcare Training Academy and Peer Leader Navigator (PLN) program. This position is responsible for cohort scheduling, curriculum oversight, partner and employer coordination, and outcomes reporting for both program components, and provides direct program leadership. This position will work with students across Alaska, including Anchorage and Mat-su. Reports to Co-Executive Director - Programs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience managing workforce development, healthcare training, or adult education programs.
2. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple partner organizations and stakeholders.
3. Strong organizational and data-management skills; comfort with outcomes tracking and reporting.
4.Experience working with underserved, multilingual, or adult-learner populations preferred.
5. Familiarity with Alaska's healthcare workforce landscape and/or Community Health Worker models preferred.
6. Experience supervising staff preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership & Implementation
1. Oversee day-to-day implementation of the Pre-Apprenticeship Healthcare Training Academy and the Peer Leader Navigator (PLN) program.
2. Lead scheduling, curriculum oversight, and delivery coordination across three Academy cohorts and one PLN cohort per performance period.
3. Finalize Academy curriculum and certification partnerships in coordination with the Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
4. Finalize learner intake, skill and career assessments, eligibility procedures, and recruitment/monitoring strategies.
5. Recruit and train PLN cohorts in partnership with the Alaska Community Health Worker Network.
Partner & Employer Coordination
6. Coordinate with key partners including AHEC, the Alaska Community Health Worker Network, and the State of Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD).
7. Map and confirm employer and training-program partners, including apprenticeship programs, for Academy graduate placement.
8. Support formalization of partnership agreements (MOUs/letters) with AHEC, Alaska Job Center, HOPE, CSS, and UAA.
9. Launch and lead employer co-investment conversations with healthcare system partners.
Data, Monitoring & Reporting
10. Establish and oversee baseline data collection systems for the Academy and PLN programs.
11. Lead quarterly data review processes and monthly internal reviews of participant-level data.
12. Track and document employment and advanced training placements for all Academy completers.
Supervision & Coordination
13. Provide guidance and coordination to the Health Programs Support Specialist and Distance Education Specialist.
14. Participate in quarterly program reviews with ALP's Co-Executive Directors and key partners.
